How to Use Recycled Items of Interest in the Garden

April 14, 2010 by admin

Recycling used everyday items is always much enjoyed in a garden area. So, I am constantly on the look out for something attractive, inventive and uncommon in my travels. An idea that I simply adore is propping an old retro bike up in a garden and growing beautiful flowers out of a handle bar basket and rear tire basket. Because of the bikes sheer size, it naturally becomes a feature, but with it all dolled up in a charming bright paint, and flowers cascading from it, the bike morphs into a favourite feature.

Once you have selected the flowers, you can continue to dress your darling bike up with raffia, ribbons, hanging signs, and even adorable moss animal replicas, or ceramic vegetables. It goes without saying that the ideas sill just flood out once you begin this project. Plus, each season you can reinvent a theme with it, and get more and more elaborate.
